Today we took advantage of May 1st to have fellowship and for the examining of Biblical truths about leadership. We have been using a couple of notes given to me by pastor Tom Gibbons, the same ones that we used years ago in our UCB Camp in Paysandú, Uruguay.
The issues that we studied were:
1. The Importance of Leadership preparation
2. Plural Leadership is Biblical without any question
3. The hindrances to leadership preparation:
a. Lack of Men
b. Lack of Faithful Men
c. Lack of faithful wives to the faithful men
4. The Offices in the Church
a. Elders, Pastors, Overseers
b. Deacons
The activity began at 10:30 am and ended at 6:00 pm. As you can see, not only we had a wonderful time of training but also a very good time of fellowship enjoying BBQ! Wow! That time of fellowship while waiting the meat to be ready, singing, talking and playing spiritual songs and drinking mate (national drinking) O! how we love that time!
