Antonio, still at the Hospital

Antonio (Silvina's father) is still at the Hospital. The Dr. said he needs constant care, indeed after he would be able to come back home. So, we pray that the Lord would allow us to take him to South Argentina for proper assitance. Pray that Antonio would be willing to come down for his own sake. It's not easy with old people to move them from their environment. Here is a picture of Antonio where he was doing one of the things that he loves to do: BBQ! And he is really good doing that! Pray for his salvation. Pray for Silvina, she's tired and she has to travel 2 hours by bus to see her father for only half an hour, and then, she has two hours more to come back home.

Silvina's father

We would appreciate your prayers on behalf Silvina's father. He is now at a Health Center because of cardilogical problems. He's not well at all, although doctors say that he will be better in days ahead. Antonio doesn't know the Lord as Savior and for this very reason we pray that this situation will bring him to Christ. Silvina is right now at Buenos Aires with him. Since we arrived to Villa Regina we had faced a lot of trials regarding health with our parents. Distance is very long here and while Silvina is at Buenos Aires with her father and Carolina, I am facing the ministry while caring for Lucas and Micaela. So, thank you for your prayers. May the Lord bless everyone. His grace is sufficient for every season of life, both tough and soft! Ps. 46:1 He is sufficient because he overcame death!

BE PRAYING FOR...

1. May the 1st. we will have an activity with the men of the church looking in the Scriptures about the characteristics of faithful man.
2. During the following Sundays we will be addressing the theme of the New Birth. Pray that God would establish the brethren in this vital doctrine and also that He would touch many unbelievers during the preaching of the Word.
3. My wife Silvina has to make a trip to Buenos Aires to attend his father who is lacking health. Pray that God would give her the wisdom to stay with him as long as necessary and that God would touch her father's heart to come to know Christ.
4. I am visiting some men that has stopped coming to church before we came to Villa Regina. Pray that God would allow me to assist them through the Word and that God would give me the wisdom to understand what is their true spiritual condition.
5. At Men's meeting we are studying How To Lead Sunday Services. May God help each one to appreciate the teaching and put it into practice.

The New Birth

Two Sundays ago we have began a series on the New Birth. The Lord has been glorified through the exposition of the Word. Yesterday night a lady who grew up in the church, came to talk after the message because she was convicted of his mere intelectual knowledge of Chirst and after explained the gospel to her, she surrendered her life to Christ. Praise the Lord for this.

The Torres family

Alberto and Irma came to know the Lord five years ago, and since then, they have been following the Lord. Alberto has began to lead some Sunday night services. Irma is faithful in everything she does for His Savior.

JELLY JELLY JELLY .... MMMMmmmmmmm!!!

Silvina is becoming an expertise doing jelly! It is a very common practise here because of the many fruit we enjoy. Yes, there's enough for everybody, come and taste!

Our home is also a ministry place

Although "our home" is very small, it is good to receive brothers in Christ and serve them here. That is the case with Mario a young man of the church. Mario is helping with the youth group. Actually he is without a job but we're praying that God would provide for him in due time.

Beginning a series on our Growth in Christ

We will begin to teach this theme at our Sunday School class, pray that God would enlarge the hearts of the believers.

We need to hear His call. Christ calls us to take up the cross and deny ourselves; this is extreme discipleship, a call that is to cancel out our will so we can submit to His. When we confess Christ as our Savior, it means He is our Lord. We are to surrender to His direction, call, and purpose. When we claim to be His, we need to commit and follow, leaving behind all that hinders and causes us to go astray.

Fruit from the Valley!

Enjoy some of the good creations of God!

Bible Study with new ones

We thank God for the opportunity to start a Bible Study with the Jofré family. They live in another town (Godoy) 3 miles west from our city. They came to know the Lord few months before we arrived to Villa Regina. They are very faithful in coming to church and it was a wonderful experience to see Mr. Jofré learning to read and write (because of lack of education) while doing the Bible Study. We praise God for his willingness to learn about his Savior. Be praying for them.

Ana is back home!

Thank you to all that has been praying for Ana (Silvina's mom); she's back home and she feels good although she has to keep in touch with the Doctor for the following days. We will have you updated about her.

Some prayer requests

1. Pray for the spiritual establishment of the people already in the church.
2. Pray for some couples that are coming back to church. They have gone for several reasons, but most of all, we believe, for lack of understanding about spiritual commitment and Bible truths about following Christ.
3. Pray for some that have gone but that really are not born again christians.
4. Pray that we will be able, Lord willing, to start Bible Studies with the men of the church about Leadership, Men responsibilities, and How to Lead Worship Services.
5. Pray for the women of the church that they will be ready to assume their place in the assembly.
6. Pray for the establishment of a youth group.
7. Pray for us, as a family, that God would be merciful in leading us in many decisions, and for our daughter Carolina who is en Buenos Aires, studying.

It's just a flu!

Scarcely I remember me of not been able to go to church the Lord's day. I thank God that there are men here that can take care of the services without the pastor. I have to take rest for about 48 hours. Throat and head pain has been my fellows during the last 24 hs. But, God has enable us to minister people at home during these past hours. We thank God for that. I appreciate your prayers for my recover. And... of course that is not me in the picture... I think of me a little more handsome! :)

An Afternoon Beside The River

Today we had a nice time with a couple that are coming back to church. They are coming back to fellowship and we took time to share with them the love of God and the Word through counsel and testimony.

God's provision: A new car

We thank God for His wonderful provision for a new car. Well, it's not "new" because it's a '94, but it is new regarding two things:
1. The former owners didn't use it more than 85.000 miles! and it has a lot of comfortable things, with seven seats!
2. We never had a car in Argentina! :)
