Moving would be imminent!

Please, be praying as we wait for an answer from a Company from Argentina about doing the moving. Also for God's provision for that. The cost will be about u$s 1000 and that is fine because they have a trip of 2360 miles, but we pray that God would provide. Also be praying for the selling of our Van, we cannot take it to Argentina because it is a foreign vehicle. If we can sell it in the following days that would help us with the many expenses that we have in the days ahead.

Dr. Les Ollila

It was a wonderful experience to have Dr. Les Ollila, Chancellor of Northland Baptist Bible College at our Family Camp in Uruguay. His practical knowledge of the Word was a refreshing help for everyone who assisted to the Camp. I had the opportunity to have good time of fellowship with him, listening to and asking many questions about Biblical issues. If you want to listen to him, go to www.sermonaudio.com and serch for him in the search engine. May the Lord bless you as we were blessed at the Camp too.

You can pray for us as we face our moving...

We would appreciate your prayers and support in this time of moving, please be praying for:
1. Wisdom to face all that the moving involves.
2. The cost of the moving
3. Confirmation from the man who will be doing the moving
4. Serenity to face unexpected things.
5. Understanding in our children about the whole issue, they usually feel more pain having to leave their friends, etc.
6. Strength for Silvina who has to organize everything and probably will be moving first.

Our son Lucas

We praise God for our son Lucas (16) for whom we have been praying that God would touch his heart to begin to follow him. We thank God for answering our prayers and of those who had been praying for him. A few nights ago, he called me to talk about his own spiritual state and he told me that he wanted to leave everything that was a hindrance to his spiritual life. He's now reading his Bible and has a complete new behavior at home and church, although of course is wrestling with many things from the past. Here you can see him weeks ago doing BBQ for us! Enjoy the food!

Some Information about Villa Regina

It was founded as an agricultural colony on the 7th. Of November, 1924 by Ing. Felipe Boloni and the contribution Of four hundred Italian families arriving from the post-war period. Initially it was called Colonia Regina Alvear, and then after the then president´s wife, Villa Regina.
Located in the southeast area Of the Alto Valle del Río Negro, is the third locality in population. Its 40,000 inhabitants are involved in the fruit production as apples, pears and also extensive vineyards. For this reason every March the town celebrates the Fiesta Provincial de la Vendimia _The street layout is very irregular, and the city is split in two by Route 22. The first thing calling your attention will be a monument to the Comahue Indian; an excellent panoramic point towards the city and part Of this spectacular valley.

Some 10 km. away you will find the Club Nautico Villa Regina on the The Río Negro and a raft service to take you to Island 58 that in reality is not an island but a small peninsula surrounded by a dry river branch._It is a wonderful place to spend the day outdoors. You will enjoy a good swim and a camp is available with the essential services.
While you are visiting the region, visit an interesting fruit establishment near Route 22, called Cooperativa Reginense, with more than 56 years dedicated to the production Of wine, champagne, juices and their specialty, the famous cider "La Reginense".
This city is called the Pearl Of the Valley and rightly so: it is another good place to discover when visiting Patagonia.

Villa Regina our new mission field

Here we show you some pictures of the place where we are praying to go in March to begin to serve. Remember to pray for us. Once we change our mission field, our site will change its name too, because Villa Regina is located in South Argentina in the province of Río Negro.

"Birds" praising God in our church!

Pastor Jerry Van der Veen visited us and shared with us this wonderful gift for the glory of God. After giving a brief but profitable testimony of faith and service, pastor Jerry did what you can see and listen to in the video. It's a not a good quality one, but we think it is enough to appreciate this gift. Enjoy!

Our future...

“Man's goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?” – Proverbs 20:24

“O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.– Jeremiah 10:23

July 1991 --“Then Jacob went on his journey, and came into the land of the people of the east.” – Genesis 29:1 (“people of the east” – Uruguay is seen as the country of the east)

November 2007 – “And Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him. And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the LORD which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee” – Genesis 32:1,9

Dear brothers in Christ,

The Christian life is one of continual dependence in the Lord, and for those of us who serve Him in the ministry, this implies a greater responsibility due to the fact of all that weighs on our hearts. A mistake or a wrong step signifies a serious problem for the congregation in which we serve; but a step given under the will of God and under the clear guidance of His Word, is a fountain of blessings and a definite advance in the extension of the Kingdom of heaven.
As it is know by the majority, the leading of the Lord towards a change in the ministry started for us in April of 2006 (details of this are not forthcoming here) with the great assurance that God was calling us to another place unknown to us then. During more than a year we were praying and waiting to be sure of what we should do and say. This finally happen, for the church in Salto, in August of 2007.
During our meditation and prayer, our focus always was geared toward Uruguay, since it was here that God had called us to, but we also understood that He could indicate something else. This “something else” was in regards to an eventual return to Argentina if the Lord would open the doors to a new ministry.
Finally, the Lord has open the doors to minister the Word and raise the work in the city of Villa Regina, Río Negro in the south of Argentina. Our relation with this city was primarily for family reasons, but now, for ministerial reasons.
A group of brethren from this city, to which we have attended with teaching the Word each time we went to visit, has decided to become part of Union de Centros Biblicos (GMSA in Argentina). Our hearts would be heavier each year that we would go to Villa Regina; but never supposing, thinking or seeking an opportunity to end up there; not even when we knew God was calling us to leave Salto.
Brothers, nothing is more certain to us than the peace and absolute assurance that it’s the place to which God is calling us and that it is the “mountain” which God told us about in April of 2006 in Joshua 14 and that reminded us again in October of this year.
Brothers, you could never imagine our pain and that it has only been comforted by the assurance of the Word of God that we are doing the right thing and what we should do. The pain that we feel cannot surpass the fear that we have if we do not do what God has asked us.
It would be to extensive to describe the details of all that has happen on this side of the river as well as on the other side (Villa Regina) in regards to the hand of God preparing every aspect.
We have been serving the Lord, not without errors, but with our hearts during these 16 years that we’ve been in Uruguay; we hope that the testimony that we left by the grace of God may serve to encourage others and so they don’t doubt that our decision to leave it is not for human reasons or abrupt decisions or selfish motives but because “assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.” (Acts 16.10); to the people in Villa Regina.
A lot of things have past and are in our hearts; as it relates to the need that exist in Uruguay and the situation of the churches in Uruguay, but can we question these things to the Lord? We have wrestled with this and we have decided to stop doing it. God knows.
Brothers, thanks for serving with us, we ask that you help us in fulfilling our calling, to do what we must to the benefit of all and the glory may be completely for the Lord.
We hope, that soon, God may do what has to in Salto, that it may not be left without a pastor or someone who can minister the Word so that the flock that is here may continue to grow in grace and numerically and seeking the extension of the gospel in the city.
May the words of Gamaliel in Acts 5.38-39 once again be a prophetic voice even coming from a man like him: “And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.”
In the love of Christ,

Ricardo & Silvina Daglio

The Baptism of Manuel

We're glad to share with you this wonderful time. Manuel has been baptized January 26. It was a blessing for everybody to see him taking this step in his new christian life. Before he went to the water, Manuel took a very little piece of paper from his pocket where he had written Galatians 2:20 to read to everybody. "This verse -he said- I founded this week during my Bible reading and I wanted to share it with everybody." Praise the Lord for his faithfulness.
