Dear ones, I am glad to share with you about Manuel, and I am so thankful to our God for the grace showed to him from heaven. Arriving to the next-to-the-last chapter of the book ("The Stranger"), Manuel closed it and looked into my eyes and he told me with tears in his eyes: “Pastor, I can’t wait until the end of the book to tell you that I am a new man. I do really confess Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. I now understand that He is the only way to God and Heaven.” Then he prayed alone in his own words, giving thanks to God for salvation through Jesus Christ.
I have to confess that in our 16 years in Uruguay, and maybe in our whole ministry, this is the first conversion of that kind: Seeing an old man (77) coming to Jesus in such a way. Like a little boy.
Since then, Manuel has greatly changed. His wife called me to tell me about that. Life at home changed 100%. Not only that; Manuel wants to come to enjoy each Lord’s day and also talked about being baptized!
He began to read his Bible and he began to understand what he must do as a new believer.
I want to give the glory to our God and also want to give thanks to everyone who has been praying for Manuel.
Now, Manuel thinks that his wife (Dora) is not ready for heaven although she’s the one who was coming to church! So, please, pray as Manuel wants to begin reading "The Stranger" to her in the following days.
May God receive all the glory for His work and for His wonderful salvation.
We're glad that we have this way to share what is happening here. God is good and we hope we would be ready to share with you what He is doing through us in Villa Regina, Argentina, SA. 4. Pray for our church, we are giving steps in order to have a new pastor.

The Stranger with Manuel
As I posted the other day, I am visiting some people that are not coming to church but are opening their houses to recieve this wonderful evangelistc-discipleship book.
This is Manuel. He's 77 years old and I began to visit him one month and a half ago. Manuel could be my father, because of his age. My father, who is now with the Lord would have Manuel's age. So we have a good relationship. Manuel wanted to know about the Bible before he die. He found The Stranger a wonderful book to know more about the Bible. When we arrived at the story of the sin of Adam and Eve, Manuel wept as he understood about the real cause of the problems of the world and his own life. I visit Manuel twice a week. Pray for him.

The Stranger
Two years ago, I recieved a training on the book called "The Stranger" from a dear couple and friends that are ministering in Ontario, Canada. They sent to us 10 copies of this wonderful book (www.goodseed.com) to be used with different people. Well, now I began as my friend Colby did (see The Holmes Site in the links), with some new Bible Studies (3 in total) with about 8 people. This post is for you to know about it. You will have some pictures of the Bible Studies soon.
Everybody's wondering?
Maybe. What is happening with thedaglios.com? Well, nothing special at all. Just a lack of perseverance. Thanks God, He is not like us!
Since our last post, nothing happened with Luis Miguel. I kept on visiting him but, to my surprise, he began to go to a former pentecostal church. So, that was a sad new for us and I stop visiting him. That is the true. I know he is now working in several places trying to recover lost time. I am not saying that I am not going to see him anymore, but for now, I am waiting to see what is going to happen.
Thats all for now regarding Luis Miguel.

Update - Luis Miguel
Today I brought Luis Miguel to his house. He's happy to be there again. As you can see in the picture, he and his family live in very poor conditions. We pray that God would open their hearts to the Gospel and that all the kindness shown toward them would turn into glory to our God if they find mercy in His sight. Continue to pray for them, especially for Luis Miguel's recovery and for the future time when we will be ministering to him and his family while taking him to the hospital for post-surgery care.

Luis Miguel needs your prayers...
Luis Miguel is a young man that I met at the hospital. He was involved in a big accident on the highway a month ago and was in the Intensive Care Unit for seven days in a coma. It’s a real miracle from God that he’s alive. He lost his right leg and the doctors need to graft new skin on his left leg. Miguel is suffering a lot of pain in the remaining part of the leg he lost. But most of all he needs new life in Christ. I am visiting him every day and sharing the Gospel. He receives me with much enthusiasm and joy, but until now the Lord hasn’t given him a heart to understand and see Christ (Deut. 29:6). Both he and his wife Graciela are listening to the Word. Please be praying for their souls and for Miguel’s recovery.

Would You Pray For Maria Emilia?
Maria Emilia is a young lady of our church who became our first official missionary among the children in Uruguay. She's now serving among Union of Bible Centers in Uruguay with CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship). She obeyed the call to the ministry among the children months ago and she went to Brazil to get more training for this wonderful ministry. We saw in her a deep concern for children and also a serious commitment to the Lord and his vineyard.
During the following three months, María Emilia will be serving with missionaries Andrew and Kolette Thompson and Bobby Vallette in Colonia, southern Uruguay. They also are beginning to establish the work there and so they are a wonderful team for the glory of our God.
Would you consider to help María Emilia in prayer and in some support if the Lord leads you to do that? If so, please, contact us through mail - saluda@adinet.com.uy - and tell us who you are and in what manner would you like to help María Emilia to serve the Lord at the beginning of her ministry. Lord bless.

Welcome Back!
One month, a lot of time absent from the website. Sorry to all!
Things are going on here, we thanks God for his wonderful grace and mercy toward us. This last month we had a lot of new people coming to the church. Most of them non-christians but others are from different backgrounds in their chirstian life. However, we're glad that they are coming to hear the Word. We had to put some pews outside the sanctuary for people to seat. Also, we are experiencing a wonderful and blessed time with our youth group. They are getting involved in evangelism and also in several activities for the development of IMPACTO 2007. Last Saturday we had a group of about 40 young people coming to the service.
The pictures show special services we had with youth people and with the ministry of CCF (Child Evangelism Fellowship). That was a very great time. Our youht learned how to do evangelism with children in a more accurate way. Most of them are looking forward to begin Bible Clubs in different places of the city. Be praying for that.
A special prayer request is FOR THE RISE OF A COUPLE who will come to help us in ministry here. We can't do all the work among youth and the rest of the church.
Thank you to everybody who has been praying and supporting us in this wonderful service for Chirst. Love you all.

Back to work!
Not that we have been doing nothing! :) But after three Camps, trips and many other things; one is ready to be back home to start planning for this year. We have much to pray for and strive for. Last weekend we had more than 10 new people (including 2 children) coming to hear the Word. God is faithful. We're praying for the development of our Impacto 2007 program, beginning this March. Pray for our youth gruop; pray that they might understand the importance of being near the Lord through His Word. Pray that God would enable us to reach the many contacts that we have to visit. Pray also for the ministry of the teaching of the Word each Sunday. In Sunday School, the book of Acts; during Sunday night services, assorted portions of the Scripture but teaching the Gospel in each ocassion. Thanks for all your prayers and support. More in few days... with some pictures of course! Love you all.

We're on a mini-vacation!
Dear ones, thx for keep on visiting our website! I can see that we made 2000 visitors! That is very encouriging. I am not at home, and will not be until the first week of February. We are in South Argentina caring for Silvina's grandmother who is 90 years old. She lives with my mother-in-law, but she is now at the US visiting her new grandchildren who was born this month. So, we are here, watching for "la Nona" that is the way we call my wife's grandma. We're very far away from home, almost 1250 miles. However I can share with you some wonderful news:
1. T-shirts for Impacto 2007 are ready. We had a wonderful service two weeks ago, where the youth group and me put the t-shirt on during the service to share with all the church what would be Impacto 2007. I preached on John 4:4, and the need of Jesus to be at Samaria. Everyone of us has a Samaria to reach. I promise to post pictures in a short time!
2. After our youth Camp, we saw 4 newborn young people from Salto who came to Jesus. They were invited by some of our youth, and now they are having discipleship. Remember the youth group put a goal of 20 new young people for this year!
3. We have for sure that the old ones are getting involved in this new activity, we're seeing God's hand with us. Please, keep on praying for us!
More in a few weeks!
