Evangelism is the best weapon...

While in every church there are many different situations, including problems, one thing we know: Evangelism help the church to focus in what is the very will of God. Not that one can ignore problems, but everyone can be occupied thinking in the unreached ones. Doing God's work in God's way always brings us joy and fullness. As we began sharing the Gospel, the Lord opened homes where we have been able to talk about Jesus and pray with the people. We have new people to visit and we are sure that it is a time for sowing the good seed. We pray that every Saturday afternoon that we go giving tracts and inviting the people to listen about the Lord Jesus, will give to the people the opportunity to be at the mercy and grace of God. We pray that God would do the work that He did in Lydia's heart at Phillipi. Preaching the Gospel means also resisting our enemy in God's way.
We would like to ask you to pray for these families:
1. The Cavalleros
2. The Chivels
3. The Centurions
Thank you for visiting us at this website. Lord bless everyone.

God is good

We want to praise the Lord for He is good. We rejoice seeing his hand helping, teaching and rebuking us.
We want to thank God for Fernando. It was his first time sharing the Word in Youth Meeting. It was very very good.

We also want to praise the Lord for the wonderful Sunday School today. We had a lot of children and the atmosphere during the service was full of the grace of the Lord today.

Take a look

Technology is amazing, and this time we're pleased to show you the place that we're reaching with the Gospel (Click on the image to enlarge it). Today, I went back again and I found the people very kind, listening and ready to recieve the literature. Pray with us as we seek God's will to start a Bible Club among the many children that lives around this area. God is good and we know He will guide us as we seek His face.

Pray for new souls

My wife and another sister of the chruch are visiting some ladies and you can be praying for them. Yesterday, they began a Bible Study in one of the homes of this new place that we're reaching with the Gospel. My wife Silvina and this sister, Claudia began a Bible Study about the "I AM's" of Jesus in the Gospel of John. Please, pray for the slavation of:
1. Griselda and her daugther María Eugenia (Roberto's mom and sister).
2. Beatriz and her daughter Valentina (neighbors of Griselda).
3. Also, pray for their husbands. Most of them works out and they come home once a week.

Visiting Jose and Enrique... nice time with them

Here you have a picture of José Mendes da Silva (right) and his friend Enrique Arevalo. As you know, José came last Sunday nigth due to an invitation during an evangelistic outreach last Saturday. It was a suprise for all of us to see him coming, but we know that God led his paths to the church. Today I visited him in the place where he sells motorcycles and eventually some cars. We had a nice conversation, and then, his friend Enrique arrived. Enrique is a former alcoholic that is going to a therapy group since the last 11 years. He seemed so sincere and he looked surprise when I read the Bible to him explaining that the Bible calls drunkednness a sin. He listened carfully and he recognized that he kept going to the therapy group because of fear to return to alcohol. I told him what the Lord Jesus said in John 8:32 "The truth will set you free."
Also it was great to know that since last Sunday, José is inviting people to come to church because of how comfortable he felt among us. He has many friends in that nighborhood, so I know that God is leading us to this place to keep on sharing the Gospel. Please, be praying for these two men.

Continue to Pray for the Building

I have to be sincere with all of you because sometimes we got discourage about the buying of this place to enlarge our Sanctuary. Neighbors seems to not have interest in selling the place. But we know God has his time. And we know also that the Lord would have another place for us. Although we are thankful to God for the new ones coming, we still will pray that He would teach us his will regarding this property. We do not know even the cost of it, but we know that that is not a problem for our wonderful God to provide in due time.

WE HAD VISITORS!

We're really excited about the new ones that came to our service today as a result of the Evangelism yesterday.
A. A woman - Angela (36)came along with her sons.
B. Also a 61 years old man - José Mendes da Silva; he's from Brazil but is living in Salto for about 20 years and works buying and selling cars. José can`t read. He never learned; so I want to teach him to read and give him a Bible.
C. Clara (see post August 24th) came also to the service, but this time, she brought money to buy a Bible! The Lord is doing his work in her heart.
This week I have to visit José and Angela with my wife. Pray for us and for them so they would be able to come to Christ.

Evangelism in new places

God has put in the church a vision for reaching new ones for Christ in new places in our city in Salto. Today we began visiting this place. It's a new neighborhood and we are sure that is good to share with them the Gospel of Jesus. Here you can see the Evangelism Team for today and the place where we have been sowing the Good News. Some of them said they are willing to come to church to learn more about the Bible. Please, be praying for these souls that are living far away from God.

The girls also had their time...

Here are the girls of the group of the adolescents. They spent the night in the house of one of our faithful ladies of the church. It was not only a possibility to have a good time, but also to share a good testimony with all of them who don't know the Lord.

A Wonderful Service - September 3

Last Sunday night we had the adolescents singing a song, and for that ocassion their parents came to hear them and also we had the opportunity to share the Word with them all. We had the church full and although we do not are interested in "number", it was very encouraging to see all the people that night. We pray that God would touch their hearts. You can pray for them and also for us as we try to unfold a plan to visit them in their houses.
